Our 5-Ingredient Baby Shampoo bars are designed to be friendly to sensitive skin – in part, because it contains only 5 ingredients (see "Ingredients").
Here are a few special benefits of the ingredients in our Buttermilk 5-Ingredient Shampoo Bar:
- Grass-fed beef tallow – offers healthy nutrients and mild, gentle cleansing when saponified (a favorite ingredient among those with sensitive skin)
- Organic extra-virgin olive oil – gently cleanses and aborbs easily in hair; leaves hair feeling well-conditioned
- Organic coconut oil – penetrates the hair shaft and has been shown to reduce hair breakage & toughness
- Buttermilk – offers excellent nutritional properties, and this probiotic has also been shown to have bioactive compounds that fight tumors, cholesterol, & gastrointestinal infections
The full size shampoo bar (first picture shown above) is 1.9 oz with an comfortable-to-hold oval shape. One side is flat with rounded edges, and the other side is wavy with curved ridges – so as to maximize ease of lather while minimizing sharp edges for baby skin.
The skinnier trial size shampoo bar (second picture shown above) is 0.9 oz and is also an oval-shaped bar with wavy, curved ridges on one side. The other side of the trial size bar has a smoothly "dolloped" appearance.
This shampoo contains NO fragrance (although none of our soaps or shampoos contain fragrance). Read more HERE why products with fragrance are not recommended for babies or those with sensitive skin.
This shampoo is additionally free of any essential oils, so any (mild) scent that may be detected in this shampoo is naturally occurring from the ingredients.
