Did you know that the skin barrier of babies up to 5 months of age is not fully developed yet? That means that their skin is more permeable – and therefore, more sensitive – compared to adult skin (see "References" or read more HERE).
Our 5-Ingredient Baby Soap was designed specifically for babies and sensitive skin because it contains just that – only 5 ingredients (see "Ingredients"):
- Grass-fed beef tallow – nutrient-dense with mild cleansing properties, gentle enough for the most sensitive of skin
- Avocado oil – conditioning with anti-inflammatory properties and potential to help treat psoriatic and wounded skin; outstanding for chapped & dry skin, avocado oil has been demonstrated in rat studies to cause faster skin re-epitheliazation, collagen repair, and wound healing
- Organic shea butter – rich in vitamin C, with both antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity
- Banana – delivers antioxidants and pro-vitamin A because of its carotenoid content
The oval, egg-like shape of the full size bar is rounded at all edges for comfortable holding and for minimizing baby encounters with sharp-edged soap! The trial size bar is shaped like a mini cupcake and is also free of sharp edges.
This soap contains NO fragrance (although none of our soaps contain fragrance – read more HERE why products with fragrance are not recommended for babies or sensitive skin).
This soap is additionally free of any essential oils, so any (mild) scent that may be detected in the soap is naturally occurring from shea butter and banana.
