The calendula flower is a type of marigold flower that has been well-studied for its multiple skincare benefits. Studies (see References) indicate that the calendula flower and its extracts appear to:

In addition to infusions of organic calendula flower, our Calendula Cream contains 4 other ingredients:

Grass-fed, pasture-raised beef tallow – offers anti-inflammatory support, antioxidants glutathione & superoxide dismutase, omega-3 fatty acids, precursors to vitamins A & E (see References)
Organic kokum butter – offers antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antidepressant, and anti-anxiolytic benefits
Organic hempseed oil – reactivates the natural skin barrier, improves wound healing, helps relieve itchiness, increases linoleic acids & essential fatty acids
Organic arrowroot – helps create a silky feel & absorbs excess moisture

And while we don't recommend putting Calendula Cream on your dessert menu, all 5 ingredients are, in fact, edible! So...if baby's mouth gets a bit too curious – not to worry.
