Sweet potato and duck fat soap ... but why?
Because we like sweet potato and duck fat fries. And we grow sweet potatos. And we thought – why not?
This soap offers a rich, creamy lather – with much thanks to the luxurious duck fat that is kettle-rendered from cage-free, antibiotic-free, hormone-free ducks.
And, perhaps surprisingly, it also offers a few health benefits along with its rather novel combination of ingredients (see "References"):
- Health-promotoing sweet potato – contains a myriad of nutrients and phytochemicals (including caratenoids) with antibacterial, antifungal, anticoagulant, anti-HIV, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, and anti-cancer potential
- Anise seed – appears to offer antidepressant and anti-anxiety effects
- Moroccan red clay – helps absorb and remove sources of infection from the skin
- No essential oils (and never any fragrances) – a benefit to those with sensitive skin (see "Ingredients")
Use soap for hands, face, and even better – in the shower – where you can "feed" high-absorption skin areas such as the underarm and groin regions (read more HERE).
Our soaps contain natural & organic ingredients – no parabens, sulfates, silicones, or synthetic fragrances. If you are allergy-prone, we advise reading the ingredient list first and doing a small patch-test before using on the whole body.
